    At what latitude?

Depends whether you go round the fattest part, or round the north or south poles where the distance could be an inch or two.

That original Furlan Marri chronograph measured 38mm wide and 11.3mm thick. The new ones come in nearly 2mm thicker link – 13.2mm in total – accentuated by a thicker midcase, more curved caseback, and an even thicker (thicker-looking, at least) double-domed sapphire. It link also costs about 8.5 link times what the original watch did – CHF 2750. But what you get in exchange is a fully evolved Furlan Marri in a way that feels like it was meant to be all along.

The Horological Society of New York HSNY has an extensive collection of ephemera in its link library and during my internship I was able to dig up a number of Swatch catalogs from the late 1990s and early 2000s that showcase Swatch's attempt to reinvent link time see image link 1.
