For general all round reliability i think you can't go pass a late  Toyota -- any model.

Nissan Micra - economical and reliable - but best to have eco friendly I guess.

I have 01 model SS V8 in red, great minds think alike.

It depends on your budget.  For me I love my 4-cylinder Honda Accord LX with 170 horsepower.  My previous car was a 6-cylinder Honda Accord.  When I planned to trade in my car end of last year, I sought the advice of my mechanic.  He told me not to buy 6-cylinder Honda Accord becasue it has numerous transmission problems.  I followed his advice.  So far so good.

I bought a 1990 accord 11 years ago , after 12 months the auto box blew up and a $4000 bill for a completly new transmission, bloody expensive for parts. (2.3 litre)

Was it a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder?

A BIG 4 -- a little heavy on the juice.

A KIA SPECTRA great on fuel

This is a difficult one I find for reliable and fuel economy the Honda Jazz is good mine is six years old still have the original exhaust after 40.000 plus miles changed the battery last year and 2 tyres and for its class is quite roomy

toyota for sure.sad to say i can't be a gm product
