    I never have quite figured that out!

      If you can have the person with the mobile phone send you an email message to your computer, there will be a "return" address for their phone.

        Log into igoogle and send email via SMS to that cell phone. Using your gmail account. It's free and it's great if your cell phone doesn't get service just login your gmail account (which is free) and start texting just like normal. Needs WI connection:-) Hope this helps!

          aol instant messenger lets u text from PC to Cell. Also if u get a face book account u will get an email type account to upload stuff to ur fb account with ur cell.
