      First off, don't quit taking it without your doc's approval. You need to wean yourself off of it. Your doc will have a plan for you on how to do it.

          NEVER Stop taking anti-depressants cold turkey. Your doctor should suggest gradually going off them. For example, if your taking 40mg he may suggest going to 20mg for a few weeks, then 10mg, down to nothing. Stopping suddenly can cause you to have mood swings, heightened depression, thought of suicide, etc...
