Moth balls hanging around the area seems to deter animals.

My mother has a problem with squirrels eating her outdoor plants so she surrounded them with mothballs but to no avail.

a Polish lady who I took care of said the dying white  spot of grass is caused by your neighbors dog not drinking enough water. So, If your nieghbors' dogs are ruining your grass, lke they are mine, talk to the neighbor and tell them to try to get their dog (s)  to drink more water.  I have walked thru many a pile of dog poop out there on the city part of the lawn while taking out the garbage   It's so  dark out there after  5 or 5:30pm in the winter time , I can't see the poop. I now put the garbage receptical at the end of my driveway. You can't tell where those dogs have peed, b/c it doesn' t show at first. By the time the grass is bleached out, it's too late.  :- |
