They do that. Go in through the button bottom right of your screen & look for the control. (Somebody who knows more about computers will help when they spot this question.) Something has probably come unticked. Beware... when it does restart it will spend absolutely ages catching up, and then want to close your computer when you least want to, but you can pospone that.
