Cats certainly do calm you when you are stressed.Mine always do, but they soon let you know when they have had enough.

Oh yes.... I have heard that when you are petting a cat your blood pressure goes down...that is good...Having that little ball of energy that loves you no matter what and is always there to greet you when you come home can make the pain go far away.

Not for me, cats give me pain, I do not get along with cats, although I really like kittens, its when they grow into full blown cats I have a problem..

I find that when I stroke pussy my blood pressure goes up.
