    A license key is usually a series of number that you have to enter if you have an antivirus or other progrms. Some antivirus programs are free others you have to purchase. It is likely asking you for the license key because you probably had a free trial of the program and it is close to expiring soon. If you do not want to purchase it when it expires delete it and download another antivirus.


    License keys are not exclusive to antivirus programs other programs including operating systems require license keys as well.
