It's a red circle about the size of a nickel. It's very contagious. They have over the counter medication for ringworm. Just make sure you check with the pharmacist or your Doctor. It's itches too so try to keep them from scratching because it can get infected. You get it from playing in the dirt outside, maybe where a cat has used the dirt as a cat box, or from another child.
