     Learn to spell and use the right words You WRiTE to him asking for  PERMISSION  to do something not persuation. You start with  Dear Sir Or just sir may I have your PERMISSION to and then say what it is you want the permission for and thank him for his kind attention and await his or her decision  yours  sincerely  if you haven;t used their name faithfully if you did. Good luck.
