OK, I know how to do it but you lost even me suliz, lol It really depends on which email server that is being used. I use yahoo and for typing an email, I just have to click the tab marked A and then select the size I want the letters to be.

To increase the size of the text for reading an email:

Hold down on the Ctrl key (locate on either side of your shift bar on your keyboard) then turn the scroll wheel on your mouse up or down to increase or decrease the size of any text you wish to read.
For reading email or for typing out an email?
They are all different. That's just one answer, & you have two more. It would help to know which type of email so somebody familiar with it could answer. Maybe one of us has. Your second suggestion sounds as if it might work on any... I shall try it. It would be faster for increasing the font to read. The boxes you describe appear on my documents... very easy to use... but not on email.
For typing click on the number beside the name of the print. E.G. Tahoma. For increasing it to read easily, cover it as you would to copy, increase the size as above... Done.
