      Mine did not survive the winter, I wonder how long they live anyway, I am in New England, in planting zone 6.

        It may be too much or too little fertilizer or water.


        ... or temperature extremes of too hot / too cold could be the cause[s].

          I think that's a definite Dougal, but female dogs are even worse for your flowers.
