    why does DVD act up during the movie

    The last two DVD's I've had something goes wrong with the tape, and I don't get to see the whole movie. Don't think I should pay for this one. The River Thank you.

      DVD's are discs, not tapes. Your DVD player may need to be cleaned. It sounds like the eye is dirty so can not read the information on the disc well. You can by a disc that is used to clean the eye in the DVD player.
