This is a classic rubber hose syndrome. To confirm it, check to see in the morning that it does shoot all over the place like a hose does. If it does, straighten the hose and it'll shoot straight.
In 6 years when you're a lot older and they laugh, just tell them what I've told you: it's just a rubber hose syndrome.
