Let's see....Hmmm.....I see mostly ones to avoid thus far. You should avoid the following names if you're from the Bible belt: Abdul Ali, Azzam, Mahmoud, Hussein, and Osama. I am sure the other people here can get you the "in" names.

One of my favorite names is ALAN (or ALLAN, ALLEN, ALLYN, etc.) The name means HANDSOME and CHEERFUL.

ANDREW means STRONG and MANLY.

TRISTAN means SAD.

These are the only ones I remember off the top of my head. I wanted to name my eldest son Andrew Scott (I got the Andrew, but compromised the middle name).

ANYWAY, my vote would be for ALAN! Blessing to the family

Bob I have a son Alan, I was always led to believe A-L-A-N was the correct spelling as a first name the LLAN LLEN are second names ie: family names Alan Allan.
