To upload photos from your digital camera to your you need to connect the camera with the cable it came with to the computer. Do it while the camera is turned off. Now turn on the camera. Usually the camera has a prompt screen that you need to click before the computer will detect it. Once the computer detects the camera a file transfer / photo program will automatically open and prompt you to transfer the files. For example, in Mac it'll either be Image Capture or iPhoto. You can also manually transfer photos by accessing the camera folder on the computer (it'll be in My Computer or on the Desktop). Note: Turn off the camera before disconnecting it.
