      In Judaism "closeness" is the belief that the Jews are the Chosen People", closeness to be in a covenent with God. It is found in the Torah. (five books of Moses, in the bible)

        Jewish people say they are God's chosen people because he chose them to preach to, to give his laws to, and he saved and avenged them from their enemies in the old testament.

              hairgod

              Not on there beliefs, but only on there interest in caring for human beings. Takes a special person to take care of a human that is hurt,dying,etc.
              Also someone that meets and trust a complete stranger and fights in court for them to protect them... In till proven by guilty or not guilty.

              The people in the Biblical days were mostly Jews.  What'd you expect them to say?


              They wandered around for 40 years and finally ended up in the most unusual place....WALL STREET!
