Outsourcing is a BIG part of it, yes.
But our consumption of cheap goods fuels that outsourcing.
The US spent the last 15 years buying cheap Chinese imports to save money so they could buy MORE cheap Chinese imports.
The average American can't live on the $2 a day wage they are paying these people in China to make that stuff. Hence the outsourcing.
If you want to pay $100 for a Plastic Pink Flamingo Lawn Sprinkler made in the USA go right ahead.
