About 4.5 billion years old.. I believe humanoid species have been here for approximately 1.5 million years..

earth is 4.5 billion years old but according to the greenies, we are killing it.. :)

4.5 billion years.. homosapiens have been here on earth by reason of carbon dating 1.5 to 2.0 million years, way off from your 250 million years for earth's existence.

I got this from Richard Dawkins book mentione above. Sadly about 40% of Americans believe that the earth was made within the last 10,000 years and almost all Muslims agree because the Koran says so.
