By giving people a living wage... remember the 1970s? Now there was a good thing going on then .... average wage for a labourer in Canada was 15 bucks an hour and average rents were around 150 a month for a sweet house with 3 or 4 bedrooms! Utilities [electric] averaged 10-13 bucks a month! What happened?
Now the average wage is ... you guessed it! 15 bucks an hour folks! Rents average around 1100 bucks a month for a 2 bdrm house plus an average 200 bucks a month for utilities [just electricity] ... hmmm
