I took my family with camper dragging behind sedan to the Toronto Zoo, back in the 70's only to find that they were ON STRIKE! It was like a Wally World scene, from the Chevy Chase movie. We went from RI, to Toronto. Went on recommendation of locals to a wild animal park, to save the day for the kids. It was lame, the like a nursing home for animals! We still talk and laugh about it to this day... It would have not made the list of best zoos!
