    If medicare pays for my father's long term care, will they take my mothers home as payment?

    My father had a stroke and has to go into permanent long term care. He owned a house with my Mother who still lives in the home. Will she have to lave to home and sell it to pay for his care?

      I would really doubt that they would make her leave the home. Later on when she needs the care selling the home will help her in her care.
