           Cider vinegar's acidity will be neutralized by the stomach.  The problem is that the vinegar could irritate your esophagus on its way to the stomach. Cider vinegar is purported by some to be an aid to weight loss, but the Mayo Clinic says there's no scientific proof to back this claim.
