Most creatures of this nature have the capacity to use their sting to kill and protect themselves. Be careful with it. A bite probably wouldn't kill you but it would be mighty uncomfortable and could cause complications you don't want! I had a pet scorpion that would kill small insects then eat them years ago when i lived in the desert near Palm Springs, CA.
