      You can in Australia...

        This might vary from state to state, although in the state of California you can visit an inmate if you no longer are working as a CO or free staff.


        You will have to complete and submit a visiting form and be aproved before you can visit.

          I never knew there was any such restriction.But then I have never visited anyone in jail either.
