    a number have left the anglican church mostly over the issue of homosexuality. When joining the catholics do they have to accept doctrines such as: The Immaculate Conception, The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Transubstantiation, Papal infallibility?

    You just listed some of the reasons not to join the catholic church. There are many others. I hope this makes up your mind to avoid this church.
