I had to take them due to a under active thyriod which also causes high cholestral so went on them with in a month I couldnt raise my arm so I went to the doctors and they said come of them so I just watch what I eat and walk a lot and walk a lot and I take lecithin ,,,I ahve known people who now walk with a walking stick through statins I dont think these pharmarsiutical companys just want to make a buck i not saying there alright for some people but for the others who cant take them or get crippled on them is it worth it! My parents never took anything and they use to eat all fat and it never did them any harm

Simvastatin 40 mg ddi not agree with me.  It caused diarrhea.  My doctor changed it to Pravastatin 20 mg which is milder.

I've been on Simvastatin for 10 years with no known side effects.

Yes i do take Simvastatin 40mg for about six years for high Cholestral have no problems

It can cause muscle cramps if your taking to much, ask your dr to do a liver profile test this will tell him if you getting to much
