Nope, once you've got it you keep it, but there are very good products on the market to control it.

There is no treatment that can cure herpes. Antiviral medications can, however, prevent or shorten outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication.  In addition, daily suppressive therapy (i.e., daily use of antiviral medication) for herpes can reduce the likelihood of transmission to partners.

Nope...If you've ever had Chicken Pox...then you've got the herpes virus inside you and could have an outbreak at any time in your life. It does not mean that you caught it from someone, but you CAN catch it from some one who is having an outbreak...e.i.,cold sores,pink eye, etc....but no permanent cure, (yet,anyway)...

It can be treated but NOT cured. The object is to avoid reoccurrence. Keep in mind that it can be spread……..

Chicken pox,cold sores,genital herpes.All the same related virus.Once you have it,it's in your system for keeps.
