      Timing belts do not give you a warning they are about to go on you,,they are usually replaced at certain time intervals,,,if you are talking timing chains, that is a different story...>>>>><<<<<

        If you have not changed it , it is time. They will go out, eventually. Do you want to be away from home when it does. Spend the extra now or pay a lot more later. My guess a 4.6 L  v-8. Its 20 years old . Good luck.
