Has anyone here had any experience with stints in the artery in the neck that leads to the brian?

Mom has an 80% blockage in the artery of the neck that leads to the brian... She will be having surery ASAP. Has anyone been through this or know of someone who has... What is the recorvery time? Hospital Stay? ect.....
