As a proud first generation Canadian of Italian heritage, I find it profoundly insulting that a "new Canadian" of asian heritage would besmirch the welcoming, adopted great nation of Canada.
Your earlier question asked "why all Canadians are rude" or something to that effect. I asked you whether you were of Chinese decent because I did not want to make any incorrect assumptions. You did not respond, but this post confirms my gut feeling.
While I know that my following comments may be incorrectly judged to have racist overtones, I assure you that they do not. Facts are facts. Asian countries, China and Japan being the most notable, have historically had the most overtly racist immigration policies on the planet. Although their peoples appear to be gentle and modest in public, they fundamentally believe that all other races are culturally and socially inferior.
The world-leading Japanese robotic industry has developed human-like machines intended to perform nursing functions for their increasingly aging population. Rather than opening their borders to immigrants like all other developed countries, Japanese unanimously prefer to be nursed by robots than by ignorant "foreigners".
I can go on about the subtle racist attitudes entrenched within Asian communities, but this will do for now,
As for my fellow Canadian`who refuses to shed his/her's ancestral roots in favor of the country that welcomed "it" with open arms, I say ( in MY ancestral lingo) VAFFANCULO !!! ( UP YOUR'S)

I am certain about one thing, and one thng only: In 20 years, chinada, your English will be roughly the same as it is now It really sucks.
Relax, you guys. Read the question again. It was not intended to create this kind of reaction in here. In Chinese, chinada means Canada. Digger, with his hot Italian blood (Colleen, digger is Italian for sure), took it as insult. The questioner probably referred to the simplification of the name chinada (to china) instead of trying to upset everybody here. I think it was purely bad timing plus ignorance on the questioner's part, not malice.
So, relax and have a little Aloha, you guys.

US involvement in World War II was initially limited to providing war material and financial support to Britain, the Soviet Union, and the Republic of China.
After Pearl Harbor, we entered the war because Germany and Japan had teamed up. Japan's attack gave us the reason to enter the war and not just support counties under attack. Quit your damn whining.

Colleen: We've been in quite a few wars that England is not big enough to be part of. So enjoy resting on your ass. Now I suggest you chill and let this go. WWII is long over and England should be happy to pay for our assistance. We can not afford to save everyone for free.
Update: Tell your country to take better care of it's people. Make your defenses bigger and better. Quit wasting money on frivolous things like a national healthcare system that is substandard compared to America's health care. You guys still use medications that we now send to 3rd world countries ffs.

Your country should have managed it's finances better then. Tell them to put more into your defenses. We had a much larger country with millions more people to look after. We are not the world police but we come when called when pissant countries can not defend themselves. The americans managed to take care of their own and your own and yet you still b!tcha and moan like you had to suffer. Were you even alive then? I think not. Go have another drink hector.
