The U.S., in an effort to increase liquidity in the monetary system and to keep interest rates low, has deployed "QE-1 and QE-2". QE stands for "Quantitative Easing". These are systematic approaches to adding "more money" into the system. What about QE-3? Yes, you guessed it, the third wave of pumping lots of liquidity or money into the system, if necessary.
