        Then how do you know he's your boyfriend? I would think he would want to get to know you, maybe just shy, some guys need to be encouraged.

          Had one of these once. He was actually more comfortable talking to other guys than me. Found out what he really liked to talk about and then couldn't shut him up.

            ask him questions about himself. Most people like to talk about themselves. When you do hear him talking to somebody else, or you,then notice the subject that he loves to talk about.
            As time goes along, he'll feel more confident, adn talk to you more.

              Does he do anything else besides not talking?  If he does housework and remains quiet, keep him.  If he brings lots of goodies home, keep him.  If he makes good money and shares it with you, keep him.  If he makes great love to you, definitely keep him.  Otherwise, you know what to do.

                  Maybe he is just shy. Find out what his passions are and try to learn a bit about them so you can get him talking about what he likes. I also found through past experiences that allowing him to be quiet and not taking it nervously will let him relax. Start asking a few more questions to get him out of his quiet shyness but don't become a nervous chatter box.

                                            Make sure that you understand him before you commit. I thought that mine was just shy and quiet. Turns out he has Asperger's.It is a daily struggle to communicate with him.He also passed it to our son. I constantly work with my son on communication, he's better than his Dad but still struggles. Just be sure!

                                                    If you have met any of his friends, male or female, ask if he is shy. Maybe he is timid with you on a personal one on one but like an introvert and when in a group is an extrovert. Maybe he likes to you carry the conversation. Age is also a factor.
