Make sure the spelling of his name is accurate. It would help a lot if you know his birthdate (at least his age), the city and state he was last known to be, under what circumstances you were placed under adoption, the adoption agency, and the hospital you were born.
There are many good attorneys now that can act as intermediaries for states that have closed adoption. If you're relatively young, the laws today favor people that would like to find out their biological relatives. Keep trying.
