Beyond that, collectors are still learning about this era, and all periods, of vintage Cartier. So many link of these watches still pop up from original owners or link estates, often in unexpected places. They have cool engravings and stories, link the type of stuff that becomes less common every day in the collecting world.

In the '90s campy was cool. Pierce Brosnan's James Bond was campy and so was his watch. The Omega Seamaster 300M might not be the best watch out of these three but it's the watch that encapsulates the '90s in a way that the Seiko link SKX007 and Rolex Explorer 14270 simply don't. It's a link larger cultural thing not just a horology link thing.
