There is a large difference between a Physical Therapy Aide and a Physical Therapy Assistant. The main one would be the education required, and the licenses required to work in the profession. Since there is a big gap in the education and professional designation of physical therapy aides and physical therapy assistants, the pay scale also differs greatly.
