      I think Bobby is nice as long as it is for a kid, but for a grown-up it doesn't sound right. Why don't you call him Bob or Robert, and nickname him Bobby?

        Yes Papitou ,my friend always regretted calling her son Jamie , she now wishes she had called him James for the same reason.Having said that he did end up on radio as Jamie the Student ,I don't think James the student would have had the same ring to it!
