      It sounds like the e-mail app is having an issue. Give it some time and keep trying back. I'm sure someone is working on the issue. Depending on who your e-mail provider is, you may be able to contact their on line support and get a more definite answer from them.

        I have been experiencing the same issue for about 3 weeks now (the e-mail provider being Compuserve running their version 8.1 dialer app). I phoned their tech service line several times since the problem began. They have repeatedly promised to fix it very soon, but the problem persists.
