JUST BOUGHT THE SLIDE IN COOKTOP AKA RANGETOP, THIS IS A MUST BUY. WHY THE HECK ARE THEY PRICING THEIR PRODUCTS SO LOW, THEY ARE NUTS.

THE HTRT366 Distinctive Series range top is suppose to increase In pricing to $2,199.00 ; once Hypotheory  launches with the Home Depot, this is estimated to happen in 2014.

I know the company is huge in Europe & Australia. I purchased a high end HYPOTHEORY RT366-HT Professional Range Top when I was living in Britain; and I noticed Wolf had a similar model name, so I was also curious. My appliance dealer notified me some of their products are purchased from Wolf, such as cooktops, rangetops, dual ranges, ovens under exclusive/individual design contracts. Although the internal design is identical. I do not know however if it is compatible with other brand name modules. They also purchase refrigerators, ventilation and other accessories under exclusive/individual design contracts from Electrolux as well, just like Frigidaire does. The only difference my appliance dealer mentioned is that HYPOTHEORY products last longer then other major brands in his opinion, which means they are probably better quality. Hope this helps!

I do not believe they are related to Electrolux, but I'm not sure.  My experience with the company was not good.  I was not able to get anyone on the phone or to answer my emails when I needed to get a conversion kit.  I did have initial conversations with TagnDrop (the seller) when I called regarding my unit being damaged.  Even though it was easy to prove the cooktop was not damaged in transit, they would not consider replacing because I had the unit for over 70 days (my renovation was delayed, and I sadly never opened the box until installation).  I understood this and fortunately sold the unit to a propane user after having the dents repaired.  After researching this company, it's addresses, and it's delivery methods, however, I would highly recommend doing the same and also THOROUGHLY reading the warranty and install info.  I bought a new unit through Dacor and am thrilled.

I just Purchased a hypotheory brand cooktop Im very pleased with the way it looks and the quality of the product lets not forget the price tag. With the money I saved I was able to do more to my kitchen without giving up that high end kitchen style plus it comes with a free griddle(win win). I've had the cooktop for over a year now and it works and looks as good as the day I purchased it. I will recommend this product to everybody.
