    American Idol in the 60's?

    If the TV show American Idol was around in the 60's or 70's...What classic rock stars wouldn't have made it past the judges because of their "questionable" singing voice.

          Some odd answers to this one, every one of these singers are unique in their own way, nobody is perfect, especially musically, I can't sing to save my life, but I get the beat, which to me is the main thing.

          I'm not saying I don't care for these singers, just that I don't know how successful they'd have been auditioning for a 1970's American Idol.

            I'm going to go with Janice Joplin. It took me a bit to appreciate her sound and her music.

                Don't know if Edith qualifies as a "rock star" PP but definitely a questionable singing voice. "Songs that made the hit parade!!!" ha ha
