Get rid of him, forget him, throw out all of his stuff, you only have one life so don't waste it! its your time to start living!! ;-)

Give him the boot and show him the door. Don't give him anymore free sex.

Well honor, it sounds like he really does not want to make any changes.  He may say it but he's not showing it.  If that was what he wanted, he would be at home with you and the kids and not at his Mom's house.  Change the locks, let him stay at his Mom's and file for Divorce. 

If that's not what you want, try counseling, but He needs to want it too and it doesn't really sound like he's sincere in that regards.  It's not good for the kids to be played with like yo-yo's.  they need stability now more than ever.  I'm sorry and wish you well.
