    Have you ever been let down by a friend?

    During a very hard time I really found out who my real friends were. Some were not the one's I thought the most of but they surprised me

      Yes, I have loaned money to friends and learned that lesson, not to lend friends money. Also I have lost friends just over time and moving to different states, lost friends when I changed jobs, there are many ways to loose friends and it bites to loose them.

      But like Dwayne and others have said, the ones you lost weren't really true friends. We only have a few of those it we're lucky.

          That sucks a big one carmaxable...goodness knows that's when you really need friends....they showed their true colors and you're probably better off not having friends like that...after all, who likes enemies..I hope you are doing well thes days...take care of yourself!

          WHEN I WAS YOUNG I MADE A REMARK TO MY DAD ABOUT HOW MANY FRIENDS I HAD.HE REPLYED IF YOU HAVE A HANDFULL OF FRIENDS IN A LIFE TIME YOU ARE LUCKY HE WAS RIGHT THERE IS A BIG DIFF.IN BUDDIES PALS CHUMS. AND FRIENDS. THE ONE THING IS CERTAIN PEOPLE DISAPOINT YOU THATS JUST WHAT THEY DO.

            My "best friend" borrowed $7500 from us and now we never hear from her. No money either that she "promised" to pay back.

              First rule of friend ship "Never lend money you are not prepared to lose" Same goes for family.

              I guess I never had a good friend, my family and any of what I thought were friends always have let me down and treated me badly guess that's why I am more of a loner now......

                Ole hipster I think you make too many rash assumptions about others but I for one am glad Spaceghost is my friend. I am lucky to have him for a friend.

                There are different grades of friends. Someone you may know or someone you work with and your life long friends. You can expect the first two types to let you down and occassionally the latter. The thing to ask yourself are you a good enough friend to forgive your friends for letting you down. If the answer is yes. Then they are your true friends. If it's no. Then...............

                    yes while hicking we come upon a cliff my friend let my down first then i threw him back up the rope... alright it was a dumb made up story.. except for the part about hicking..

                      If friends are people you do things for and expect no return then I have many.

                      If friends are people who do things for me and expect no return then I have a few.

                      But, not really let down, only disappointed.

                        A good friend does not judge you. A good friend will tell you the truth even if it my hurt. A good friend will be with you till the end. I hope I can live up to these things for my friends

                          Golly yes, who hasn't been let down by a friend at some point in their lives...can think of a few...won't get into the particular details...some I still think about and some I don't...life trudges on!

                            No I have never been let down by a friend, acqaintences yes, people I worked with yes but friends never. What was all the other blathering about this question, so many go off on a tangent from what is asked. Surprised our Holyer than thou people didn`t hop in with the J word being a true friend that never lets you down.
