The only reason I can see after googling is the kids are doing it to try and get high. Most all results were unsuccessful unless it was mixed with a bit of cocaine. But if you're going to use cocaine, there's no point for the Ritalin since it doesn't make you high anyway. If Ritalin has not been prescribed to you, do not ingest it or smoke it. It does contain some serious side effects and can not be combine with certain other medications. If you have chronic pain, see your doctor.
