I have a favour to ask you all out there. If you concur would you tell Maz please?

Our fellow "friend" Maz is having a battle that I am sure he will win but, to help him I want all of you to do this.

I want you to get your drink of choice water, coffee, tea, beer what ever and as you drink send positive vibes to Maz saying out loud, or if you are shy to yourself, "Drown you bastard, get out of Mazs` body"

Hi Jenn, you called Daren "darling" in a post today, but you didn't say you loved him. Your forgiven ... LOL. Thank you for your kind words - I Love you too but don't tell anyone will you!
    Jenn

    It is our little secret

Think positive Maz. I'm sure you do. Just for the record,I have an old mate who had a similar condition  diagnosed when he was 69. he underwent the chemo & all the other bullshit they put him thru & he is now 80 & STILL WORKING AS A CARPENTER!!! believe it or not. But all the way thru it he said,"It's gotta be done & that's That!

    Maz

Cheers Tommy, yes i am totaly positive and would be no other way. Yes whats got to be done has got to be done! Cheers my friend.

To Maz  You are in my thoughts today what ever it is you will pull through we all get that green monkey on our shoulder and when you are ready it will jump off SO GET OFF NOW hope that worked any way just remember God is always listening to you god bless you MEL xxx

    Maz

Cheers Mel, thank you so much. I'm in very good hands, with excellent, first class treatment. Money cannot buy better.

I appreciate the suggestions of prayer but the purpose of the exercise is not one of religion but one of universal love for another human.

Be he black, white or brindle I want Maz, I feel he is white, to see he is not alone, he has friends interested in his maintaining a positive mental attitude during his fight.

I have no desire to save his soul but I am equally sure he will take all the help he can get, be it earth bound or something else.

Please do not I repeat PLEASE DO NOT GO ALL CHURCHY ON HIM, he may be a heathen like me so do as I ask if you can, if it clashes with your beliefs then don`t do it.

Frankly what have you got to lose?

    itsmee

PeopleLover ~ Good! I won't clash with Maz. I send healing thoughts.

WOW  I'm shocked! Thank you all so very much for your kind words, and yes the funny bits too!! "Life is far too short to be serious", has always been a favourite saying of mine. Those who know me will tell you that i am a very positive person. .. Well to let you all now i have been on the chemo now for several months and the tumour in my stomach is shrinking which is very good positive news. I have to see my Oncoligist this coming week to get yet another CT scan and ultra sound endoscopy. The following week i then have an appointment with my surgeon and then an operation soon and will be out of action for several months. So you see, i really am in good hands. Due to the nature of my job,i am very fit for my age (57) and that really does go a long way with such major surgery as you would imagine. As a footnote, i would like to say that there are thousands of people like myself undergoing similar problems so i am not unique by any means. Thank you all so very much for your kind words and wishes ... you are all so very kind. PS: keep the funny ones coming in .. i luv em!  .... Must go got some questions to answer!

You may not be unique in the battle you have but you are unique to us so please bear with us for singling you out. Of course healing wishes to all but you'll still be our "favorite" ;) I'm glad to hear it's going in a positive direction for you! You have the attitude that will make you win this fight!
    IamPamela313

Maz, it is so great to hear that you are in good spirits and that your progress is coming along so smoothly. We pray for a speedy recovery. We will miss you and come back as soon as you are able after the surgery.<3 xoxoxo
    Maz

Thank you Colleen. Such very nice words. Believe me i'm not going anywhere - i've not reached 100,000+ yet!! I wan't one of your trophies.
    Maz

Pamela, thank you also for your kind words. Yes things to date are going to plan & yes i am fine. A good positive mental attitude is a must. No tea & sympathy here - lol. I will be back after surgery, but it will be many weeks after. My stay in hostpital will be for at least 2 weeks all being well, but it could well be longer.

i didn't know he had a problem then again who dosen't, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Maz

    Cheers Daren.

    Maz

    Thank you so much.

    Anytime!:)

Hope you're alright Maz, whatever it is you will pull through. We all go through bad patches, for instance you wouldn't want my daughter-in-law who is the devil incarnate. Her behaviour put me in a bad depression some time ago. I just couldn't understand what was going on. and why.

    Maz

I have been lucky all my in-laws are good - just luck i think. I will put this illness behind me 100%. Thanks for the post.

Maz, wishing you the best, good thought and prayer. My Mom and Dad are both dealing with cancer, or better know as the C word.  Keep positive and I know you can beat this. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

    :)

    Maz

Thanks Leeroy. Yes the big C word. I hope Mom & Dad are keeping their chins up and keeping positive too. We will beat it. Bottoms up!
    leeroy

Thanks, Maz! A positive attitude goes a long way with this sort of thing and they are both really in good spirits, hope you remain the same.

I know what you mean....I have literally dozens of non mallignant skin cancer tumors and am getting ready to have radiation treatments...I'm frightened....it's difficult to deal with...I wish only the best and a speedy recovery for you!

    leeroy

Hi, Hipster, hope you are doing well. Long time no type/see. Hope you have an awesome weekend.

Hoping on the best for you Hipster, I know radiation is extremely tough, I'm sure you will fine and healthy soon. Take care sweetie.

I will include you in my prayers, You will be fine, I've been through a lot and never thought I would feel good again but with God's help I'm doing great.

Maz, I will include you in my prayers. I have a father-in-law who was given 6 months to live. It's been thirty five years ago that he was told that, and he is still going strong. Keep the faith, attitude is a big one in dealing with that.

    Maz

    Cheers Shootah.

Maz, do you think your wife or a friend can just hop on-line and let us know how you  are doing?  I think everyone would like to keep up with your progress.   Take it easy. Regards/yvonne57

    IamPamela313

    Great idea, Yvonne!
    Maz

Good idea! I will see what i can arrange when i know my date for surgery.

Maz I wish you the best and please have faith. GOD will be with you all the way. I had throat cancer (yes, I was a smoker ) and it is not a walk in the park, but you'll get through it. My prayers are with you. God bless you.

    Maz

Thanks Varon. Yes i will beat this.

Sorry to hear of your ill health, and i hope you have a speedy recovery.

    Maz

    Thank you.

i will toast every time tonight with my brandy&diet....i had cancer in 2005 and beat it...you will too.

    Maz

Brandy - i love a tipple of Brandy! Yes i will beat it too. Cheers!!
Maz ya poor wee bastard, My wife had stomach cancer last year and she had once a week dose of chemo for nine weeks.

She was then operated on and they removed her total stomach. Hooked the osopehagus direct to her upper intestine, put a small pocket in her intestine to act as a stomach, all be it small. This pocket will enlarge over time and whilst it will never be the size of the original stomach it will help as a "holding tank".

She was on the table four and a half hours and in hospital for eight days.

They wanted her to have more chemo after the op but it knocked the shitter out of her so she stopped. All tests to date are clear.

Her and a girl friend drove from home to Townsville two weeks ago and that was a two day drive so you can see she has recovered well.

She, like you was positive, they gave her twelve to eighteen months without the op and she said at 68 that was not long enough so went for it.

The only problem is that as she has no stomach what she eats falls straight through and out the other end. I spend all day picking up bits of food off the floor. Just kidding Ha Ha Ha.

No she is "normal" except when she has to go she "has to go".

All the best mate , I will be in London from 2nd October to 3rd November so we may be able to catch up.

    Keep up the ritual.
    itsmee

PL You sound like you'd be a positive force in your wife's health crisis.
You are the same for Maz. You're a good man.

Maz, My family and I wish you the very best, you ARE in our prayers and I know the ALMIGHTY is looking out for you. I just now found out about your situation because I'm not on here as much anymore and I usually talk to Pamela a lot but haven't much this week. Hang in there my friend , YOU'RE GOING TO BE OK MY MAN. I also found out that we are the same age.

    Maz
