      THIS IS AN OLD TRADITION 30 YEARS AGO MANY STORES IN SMALL TOWNS ACROSS THE SOUTH CLOSED ALL DAY WED. MY FRIEND USED TO CALL IT FISHIN DAY

        it's been more than 30 years ago i remember headland was closing on wed. at 12 noon even when we had edd's place, randy's dry goods, espy and the two drug stores. JUST OFTEN WONDERED WHY.
