I did receive your answer last night, but had already tried it. The icon I am seeking was not there. It had been there prior to my getting help from Comcast who connected me to Norton to assist me in downloading Norton from Comcast. After receiving your reply I did try it but had tried it before so send another question on the same matter. Tonight the first reply I had did not have anything for a reply. Jerry, try to stick to one question thread. You do not need to keep opening new questions to answer back. When you go to an answer, you can reply right there. Use the comment box. Now in reply to your comment here, here's another option. Go to your start button and in the computer search bar, type battery...you should see an option in the list box that says. "show or hide battery icon on task bar" click that and select show.
