whiy does my 1982 oldsombile cutless emit smoke from the exhaust pipe every time we add transmission fluid?

the car uses alot of transmission fluid, but we never see any sign that it is leaking the fluid.

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081213095704AAQ43TR     Check out what these people say,,,Engine oil and transmission fluid are in to separate systems..however when you add transmission fluid, you maybe spilled some onto the exhaust pipe, but you say you are using a lot of fluid,,maybe leaking via the gasket on your transmission pan..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

    right on, terry

sounds like you're burning oil. Have them change the oil and the oil filter and put in  new oil. And check out the trans. Something's prob wrong with it. Putting more transmission fluid in it all the time is just a stop- gap measure.

The connection between the transmission oil filler tube and transmission case probably is loose. Adding transmission fluid will leak out on to exhaust pipe where there is a crack in exhaust pipe. Its a 1982, you will have problems. My guess is you have about 255,000 miles on it.
