Its not a foolish ( the other guy cant spell) question, An electric fuel pump will push fuel much better than pull it, It you have a long way to go you can put 2 inline for example if the first pump is set at 7 psi and hte second pump will see that as zero and raise it another 7 psi so it will be 14 psi and so on. good luck.
