Sounds like you go into REM sleep the minute your eyes close.  Nothing wrong with that as far as I know.  Except that if you fall asleep within minutes of shutting your eyes you are over-tired.  I too remember most of my dreams if not all of them and can recount dreams of years ago.

    Nothing odd about that.

Are you taking any medication that may be causing this as a side effect? If so read up on all the side effects of any medication you may be taking.

    Thanks you Yvonne!

Frankly,if you can get to sleep that easily you are very lucky!.I can toss about for hours sometimes & end up getting up,watching TV. Even when I do sleep well (which is rare) I never dream ( Or can't remeember dreaming.)S count your blessings.

Leroy is on the right track . Anti anxiety meds and anti depression meds can make you have long, vivid, disturbing dreams. .......and even dreams as soon  as you shut your eyes to sleep .

And how in the world did you get 76 Karma points?  I thought it's in multiples of 15.

Some woman probably tipped you for providing good service?

I asked a friend why I had dreams even while taking a nap and she told me that many Asian people showered or bathed before napping or sleeping.  Showering, according to her, would relax you to the point where the body would go into deep sleep, thereby "bypassing" a lot of the dreams you might otherwise encounter.  You may notice that many Asian people take showers in the evening and very seldom in the morning, unlike their western counterpart.

Try it.  If it doesn't work, you'll smell better for your spouse as a result.  Don't forget, brief shower before napping too.
