The overdrive solenoid is in front of the valve body. That's inside the transmission. Is there fluid? Have you ever changed the transmission filter? Check the wiring and couplings coming out of the tranny or it could be the linkagekick down is out of adjustment.

thanks for the answer and i will check these things. i will post the out come later the car is in georgia with my daugther but i will go to georgia this weekend, again thanks
